On your first visit
Prior to your initial consultation, you will be asked to complete a medical and dental history questionnaire.
The first step in your consultation will be to discuss your current concerns and treatment desires. Following this, and a review of your medical and dental questionnaire, a comprehensive examination of your mouth will be undertaken.
Your comprehensive examination involves
- thorough soft tissue assesment, including gums
- jaw joint and oral cancer screening
- complete tooth charting
- tooth shade recording
- a full mouth x-ray film (OPG)
- any other necessary small x-ray films
- intra-oral camera photos – for those who like to know what’s happening inside their mouth
- any other necessary photographic records
- study models if necessary
Our dentists will then be able to discuss with you the findings of the evaluation and outline your options and the information to allow you to decide what actions you would like to take. From here, we will assist in formulating a personalized treatment plan.
A written treatment plan outlining the agreed treatments, necessary appointments and itemized fees will be organized for you prior to the commencement of treatment.
We believe that every patient is unique and has their specific needs, concerns and circumstances. We also believe that treatment must be individually tailored to ensure your specific needs and circumstances are appropriately met.
