How much does Invisalign cost?
The cost of Invisalign is dependent on the complexity of your case and your course of treatment - but the cost is generally comparable to traditional braces. Treatment fees range from $6,500 to $8,000 and include a complimentary set of retainers.
Can I pay it off?
Yes, we only require 50% payment upfront upon commencement of Invisalign and the remaining 50% is paid off during the course of the treatment.
Do you have payment plans?
Yes, we have 6 and 12 month interest free payment plans available to approved customers through Gem Visa & Ezidebit.
How much will my health fund pay?
It depends on your health fund and your level of cover. It’s best to contact your health fund first to ask them how much they pay towards orthodontic treatment.
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Typically treatment can last between 9 and 18 months depending on complexity of treatment.
How often do I have to wear the aligners for?
Aligners should be worn all the time during treatment, except when eating, brushing or flossing teeth.
Is Invisalign painful?
Some people experience mild discomfort or pressure for the first few days of a new set of aligners but this is only temporary.
Will I have to wear a retainer once Invisalign treatment is completed?
Yes, it is very important to wear retainers once Invisalign treatment is completed to keep the teeth stable and in their new position. Our fee includes 3 sets of complimentary retainers.
Can I smoke while wearing the aligners?
Smoking is discouraged while wearing aligners because it is possible for the aligners to become stained or discoloured.
Can I chew gum while wearing the aligners?
Chewing gum is not advised while wearing your aligners.
Can I eat or drink while wearing the aligners?
Aligners must be removed prior to all meals and snacks but water can be drunk while wearing your aligners.
How does Invisalign differ from traditional braces?
Invisalign differs from traditional braces in that the aligners are almost invisible and fully removable. This means that more discipline and commitment is required from the patient. This is not usually a problem since the trays are comfortable and nearly invisible. Almost identical results can be obtained by using either treatment.
How does Invisalign differ from veneers?
Invisalign is preferable to veneers in many cases because unlike veneers, Invisalign actually straightens the teeth. Veneers are thin porcelain covers that the dentist permanently affixes to the teeth. Teeth must be etched beforehand, meaning that to remove dental veneers an alternative covering must be constructed.
