Our dental hygienists Rachel Harvey and Bernadette Pearce are trained specialists in plaque control, the prevention of dental disease and management of gum and periodontal (jaw bone) disease. They are qualified to perform a variety of dental procedures in co-operation with our dentists. They will work with you to assess disease risk and develop a personalised active maintenance program to minimise future problems, costs and complications.

Rachel and Bernadette are both responsible for the maintenance care and professional cleaning of our entire team. We have no doubt you will find them as gentle, thorough and approachable as we do.

Rachel Harvey

I graduated as a Dental Therapist in 1992 and find dental therapy rewarding in many ways; not only the variety of treatments I can provide but the sense of satisfaction that comes from making a difference to patients. Here at Sparkle Dental I feel particularly fortunate to be part of such a wonderfully committed and genuine team that attracts really nice patients.

My husband and I have have two beautiful children, Ben and Olivia who keeps us immensely happy, smiling and on our toes! In recent years my exercise regime has changed from recreation tennis, yoga and pilates, to perfect my "Wiggles" dance moves and playing "boingies" on the pilates ball. Among my goals this year is to continue to care for our patients in line with our mission statement and to increase patient awareness of pertinent dental and whole health issues, study results and current recommendations.

Bernadette Pearce

I graduated as Dental Hygienist in 2009 and was fortunate enough to return to the team at Sparkle Dental. I began working at Sparkle in 2005 as a dental assistant but am now currently enjoying my role in personally providing treatment and care for our patients as a hygienist.

It has been a great environment to grow and expand in my skills and knowledge and have loved meeting great patients along the way. In my spare time, I love to do things around our new house, watch movies, and most of all SHOP!!

I qualified as a dental assistant in 1997 and I have been lucky enough to work as the front office co-ordinator at Sparkle Dental since 2005. I enjoy coming to work every day as I get to work with such a talented and friendly team…I wouldn't want to work anywhere else.

My interests are varied and include shopping, keeping fit, snow-boarding and wake-boarding, shopping, spending time with my husband and my two gorgeous dogs, and did I mention I like shopping! I look forward to welcoming you to our friendly practice!

Alice Holmes

I joined Sparkle Dental in August 2008 with ten years experience in the dental industry. Here it's great to be part of a team that is so heavily focused on delivering consistently professional service and creating a great patient experience.

I spend most of my time running after my beautiful boy Jaxon, and in any spare time I have left I also enjoy yoga and walking.

Rita Sage

I have been working in the dental industry now for the past six years, gaining experience in Canada, Melbourne and recently here at Sparkle Dental. Being part of the Sparkle team is exciting and very rewarding, it is a pleasure to be involved with such dedicated professionals who greatly value integrity and commitment to quality service.

In my spare time I love to visit the beautiful beaches of WA, reading a great novel or tow, travelling, spending time with family and most of all, indulging in the finer art of creative purchasing wiht my handsome wallet walking bag carrying husband.

Jannina Jones

I have been a qualified dental nurse for approximately 10 years and have been a part of the Sparkle Dental team since 2005.

Working at Sparkle is such a wonderful experience for me. The respect, honesty, fun environment and comradeship amongst the team makes coming to work easy.

When not at work, I live each day to the fullest, spending days with my two adorable grandchildren Matilda and Harrison at home or at our beach house in Greenhead. My interests are yoga, jogging, gardening and travelling with my husband and family.

Janelle Long

I have been working at Sparkle Dental since I graduated from my Dental Assisting course in 2007.

I really enjoy working in the dental industry – each day brings something new as well as getting to meet some great people along the way.

When I'm not at work, I love to relax by cooking, watching movies and spending time at the beach during summer.

Kaitlyn McTigue

I have been working at Sparkle Dental since the beginning of 2010, when I graduated from my dental assisting course.

I enjoy being a part of the Sparkle team as each day brings new challenges and experiences, along with meeting some amazing people along the way. 

When I'm not at work, I'm normally spending time with my friends and family, shopping, or outside in the sunshine.
